Happy birthday, Lindsay! As an astrologer, I can tell you that your intuition about the mid-thirties being "bountiful" is absolutely correct. Different planets rule different 7-year periods in life. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, adventure, and good luck, rules the period from 35 to 42 years of age. After a period ruled by Mars, the planet of action and struggle, harvesting all the hard work done in our late twenties and early thirties for sure feels nice and rewarding. Cheers to a great year and an even greater 7-year period starting on your next solar return!
Thank you so much! This is so interesting to learn, and I absolutely love that life tends to cycle in 7-year periods. Looking back over the last few decades of my life, I can see those periods so clearly. Here's to walking confidently toward my Jupiter period in the next year ❤️
Happy birthday! 🫶 I loved this post so much that I saved it for later, to keep as a reminder, because it’s full of things I want to either add ti my life, bring back or keep. I’ll be turning 35 in October this year (and giving birth to my first child any day now ⏳), so this also feels like it will be a great time to reassess my goals and needs, in a way that feels maybe softer than the usual New Year’s goal setting habit.
Also, #8 really hit home. I love this stage of life and really don’t get/appreciate it when people our age complain about feeling old… I think it’s really a mindset thing.
I’m so grateful I found your Substack, it makes me feel less alone 🤍
Thank you so much for your kind note, Nour – I’m so grateful to have connected here on Substack. 35 is going to be an incredible year of growth for you, and I’m so excited for the arrival of your little one. Owning our age feels so powerful – and even a bit rebellious. Here’s to more of that :)
Happy belated birthday!! I will be 28 on March 25th and I have also been reflecting on how I've grown and this has encouraged me to think about what intentions I want to move forward with.
Getting closer to 30 has actually become more and more exciting! Thank you for sharing and I wish that you have a wonderful, fruitful year! :)
Thank you! And happy early birthday to you, too ☺️ I promise that your 30s will be incredible, and it’s great that you’re already thinking about intentions for this next decade that you’ll step into soon. But for now, soak up all of your 20s, because that decade is so lovely too!
Such a great list and really loved reading it. I’m trying to get back into journaling regularly too. It’s funny how it goes out the window in the times you need it most, so definitely trying to start it back up again. And, happy belated birthday!
Thank you so much! Journaling is such a calming anchor to start or end the day with, and today I’m going to humble myself and crack mine open for the first time in…months 😂 I hope you get to do the same soon, too!
I love how authentic this list feels. It made it so fun to read! I have also always wanted to create my own ceramic mug. I wanted to take a ceramics class in college but never did -- I regret it. I hope you had a fabulous birthday!
I hope you get to create your mug soon, too! I took a ceramics class when I was a high school senior, and I wish I had taken it more seriously and created better pieces. I think I made a small dish…that my mom probably gave away 😅
Happy belated birthday! I loved this list, and especially connected with your point about weaving stories of your MIL and her legacy into your talks with Margot. My husband looks forward to the days of sharing about my dad even though he only had two years with him. Their memories are still so present with us. And I love hearing how you want to write weekly!
Thank you so much for reading! I’m glad that point resonated with you – being able to honor their memory through storytelling and special memories is everything. Your dad’s legacy will certainly continue to live on 🤍
Thank you for writing this and sharing with us. It’s been an honor getting to celebrate your birthday this year and witnessing your gentle transformation day by day. To many more magical birthdays and other milestones to come!
